Best Lithuanian Learning Apps for Speaking, Vocabulary and Listening
Explore seven Lithuanian tools for guided speaking with ChickyTutor, audio lessons, contextual vocabulary, reading and practical phrases.
Lithuanian endings can be easier to recognise on a page than to choose while speaking. ChickyTutor gives you guided practice forming sentences aloud, with feedback at your level. The other tools here offer audio lessons, vocabulary review and reading material.
Duolingo did not list Lithuanian in its official course selector when we checked on August 8, 2026. Course catalogues change, so verify that page again if you are reading this later.
Guided speaking and feedback: ChickyTutor
ChickyTutor's Lithuanian speaking practice leads you through sentences to translate into Lithuanian. You answer aloud and get help with grammar, word order and phrasing when you need it.
Beginners can practise short everyday sentences. Intermediate learners can work on changing cases and verb forms in longer answers; advanced practice can focus on precise meanings and natural phrasing. You can ask the tutor for an explanation or another attempt.
AI feedback is not always correct. Use native recordings for stress and pronunciation, and check uncertain case or usage advice with a teacher or trusted reference.
Try guided Lithuanian speaking practice.
Listening and spoken recall: Pimsleur Lithuanian
Pimsleur Lithuanian uses audio lessons and prompted spoken recall. It is a useful starting point if your immediate goal is handling greetings, questions, and basic travel conversation without staring at a screen.
Pimsleur's Lithuanian offering is limited compared with some of its larger language courses. Check the number of lessons and current purchase options before subscribing.
Daily lessons: Ling Lithuanian
Ling's Lithuanian course uses short lessons, native audio, flashcards, dialogue activities, and game-like review. It suits learners who want a daily app habit.
Use its structured activities for input, but test new sentences with a teacher or proficient speaker rather than assuming an app has caught every case or accent error.
Vocabulary in sentences: Clozemaster
Clozemaster Lithuanian teaches vocabulary through sentences with a missing word. It can help learners who know basic Lithuanian meet more inflected forms in context and move beyond isolated flashcards.
It is not the easiest first course. Learn basic pronunciation and common case patterns elsewhere, then use Clozemaster to widen your vocabulary.
Practical phrases and audio
uTalk Lithuanian
uTalk Lithuanian focuses on practical words and phrases with native-speaker recordings. Its official page says the course targets roughly A1-A2 material and covers everyday situations.
Choose it for travel phrases and repeated listening. Add a grammar source when you need to understand why endings change.
50LANGUAGES
50LANGUAGES Lithuanian provides 100 beginner lessons, practical phrases, and downloadable MP3 audio. Much of it is free, making it a useful source of basic listening material and sentence models.
The presentation is more traditional than newer apps. Use it as a phrasebook and audio bank, then practise changing the details in each sentence.
Reading and listening: LingQ
LingQ is built around reading and listening to content while saving unknown words. It becomes more useful once you can follow short Lithuanian texts and want to learn from material you care about.
Absolute beginners may want a guided audio course first. LingQ gives you content and vocabulary tracking, not a tightly sequenced introduction to every grammar point.
Choose your next practice session
Open guided Lithuanian practice in ChickyTutor to work on spoken answers at your level. Add a short LingQ text when you want more reading, or use Clozemaster to review words in sentences. If pronunciation is the difficulty, spend time with native audio and get help with the sounds or stress patterns you find uncertain.
