Data we collect

• Account information such as email address, profile name, and authentication IDs.
• Learning data such as language choices, preferences, progress, flashcards, conversations, transcripts, tutor configurations, and personalized memories.
• Voice and media data used during speaking practice. Realtime audio is processed to provide the session; pronunciation clips or user-created podcast media may be stored when you use features that save those files.
• Subscription information such as product, entitlement, renewal, and transaction status. App stores process payment-card details; ChickyTutor does not receive full card numbers from Google Play or the App Store.
• Technical and usage information such as device type, app version, interactions, diagnostics, crashes, referral information, and approximate network-derived location.
• Advertising information such as campaign and click identifiers, advertising consent choices, and whether an account has an active or previous paid subscription.

How we use data

We use personal data to create and secure accounts, provide speaking and learning features, personalize tutoring, remember progress, operate subscriptions, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, improve the service, communicate service information, and comply with legal obligations. Where permitted, we also use advertising information to measure campaigns, avoid showing acquisition ads to existing subscribers, and help advertising platforms find people who may be interested in ChickyTutor.

Advertising and audience matching

ChickyTutor may use information collected directly from customers, including a normalized email address and subscription status, to create customer audiences with Google Ads. Email addresses are converted to a SHA-256 hash before or during upload. Google uses the hashed value to check for a match with a Google account and reports audience results to ChickyTutor without disclosing unmatched account identities.

We use these audiences to measure advertising, exclude current subscribers from customer-acquisition campaigns, provide audience signals, and create similar or lookalike audience segments where the advertising platform supports them. We use consent for personalized advertising where applicable. You may withdraw that consent or object to this use by contacting us using the details below. Platform processing and audience removals may take additional time to propagate after a request.

Mobile app analytics

When mobile analytics is enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase records limited app interactions and an app-instance identifier so we can understand acquisition and whether core app journeys work. ChickyTutor does not send your account ID, email, conversation content, or transcripts to Firebase Analytics. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and personalized-ad signals are disabled in this integration.

Affiliate referrals

When you follow an eligible affiliate link, we record the affiliate code, referral time, destination, referring page, and limited browser information so we can measure the referral and help prevent abuse. We set a referral cookie and retain first-touch campaign attribution for up to 30 days. We do not store the raw network address in the affiliate click record; where configured, we store only a salted hash for privacy-preserving diagnostics. Validated subscriptions, commissions, and payouts will be handled under the affiliate program terms and the selected payment provider's privacy terms once that provider is connected.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate ChickyTutor. They process data under their own security and privacy terms and only for the purposes needed to provide their service.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and learning data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, ChickyTutor deletes associated account, learning, uploaded-media, memory, messaging-contact, analytics-person, and subscription-customer records. Some processor deletion jobs can take additional time to complete. We may retain limited records where required for fraud prevention, security, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or another legal obligation.

Deleting ChickyTutor does not itself cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. Store subscriptions must be cancelled through the relevant store account.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, object to processing, restrict processing, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account through mobile Settings or the deletion page. For other requests, contact us from the email address associated with your account. You may also withdraw consent for advertising personalization or ask us to remove your information from customer audience lists without deleting your ChickyTutor account.

Children

ChickyTutor is not intended for children under 13. Users between 13 and 16 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

Security and international processing

We use access controls, encrypted network connections, and provider security controls to protect data. No system is completely secure. Our providers may process data in countries outside your own, using applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
