Apps I use to study Arabic from zero
My light, helpful Arabic app stack: conversation, script, vocab, dictionary, reading, YouTube.
Practice speaking Arabic with Chickytutor - the AI language tutor mentioned in this guide!
When I started learning Arabic, I wanted apps that felt light, fun, and actually helpful. Here are the ones I use daily:
Conversation – Chickytutor, HelloTalk
Speaking Arabic felt intimidating at first. I use Chickytutor to practice speaking sentences whenever I feel like it. It's nice because I don't have to be shy or worry about mistakes. Then I go to HelloTalk when I want to talk with real people.
Arabic Script – Write It! Arabic
Learning the Arabic alphabet was my first challenge. Write It! Arabic makes it simple with stroke-by-stroke guidance. I practice a few letters daily, and now I can read basic words.
Vocabulary – Drops Arabic
Drops makes vocabulary fun with 5-minute visual sessions. The illustrations help me remember words better than traditional flashcards.
Dictionary – Arabic Dictionary by Bravolol
Works offline and has audio pronunciations. Perfect for checking words on the go.
Reading – Al Jazeera Learning
They have articles specifically for learners with simplified Arabic. I read one short piece daily.
YouTube – Learn Arabic with Maha
Natural conversations with subtitles help me connect sounds with words.
